Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications for internal and external clients. Responsibilities also include automating and streamlining daily tasks for employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Development

1.1.Designs software applications according to specifications obtained from Business System Analyst.

1.2.Ensures complete quality assurance testing on all internally created applications.

1.3.Ensures successful development and deployment of applications according to predetermined schedule.

2.Maintenance

2.1.Tracks all bug fixes and ensure timely resolution.

2.2.Maintains complete documentation of all processes and procedures in designated documentation library

3.Customer Service

3.1.Acts as a role model in demonstrating the core values in customer service delivery.

3.2.Provides timely and thorough follow up with, internal and external customers.

3.3.Appropriately escalates difficult issues up the chain of command.

4.Quality Assurance

4.1.Ensures team compliance with IS service standards

4.2.Serves on committees, work groups, and/or process improvement teams, as assigned, to assist in improving quality/customer satisfaction.

4.3.Recognizes and alerts appropriate supervisor of trends within their scope of responsibility that fall outside of quality parameters.

4.4.Performs self quality monitoring in order to develop and execute plans to meet established goals.

4.5.Provides ongoing feedback to help optimize quality performance.

4.6.Collaborates with others and cross-departmentally to improve or streamline procedures.

4.7.Develops new or improves current internal processes to improve quality

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in computer science or related field with three years experience in software development.
Working knowledge of development tools including but not limited to Microsoft development tools: VB.Net or C#.
Experience with various programming methodologies.
Working knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office products.
Demonstrated organizational skills, problem-solving, analytical skills and detail oriented.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
