Everest expedition a high point for Bozeman, Montana

The numerous Nepalese prayer flags that adorn local homes signify the special connection between Bozeman and the Himalayan region. That connection was even more firmly cemented last month when a Montana State University expedition succeeded in reaching the summit of Mount Everest, the world’s tallest mountain and iconic centerpiece of this most rugged part of the world.

The expedition also connected the simple hard work that has always been part of climbing with 21st century technology through an educational website dedicated to the expedition.
