Job Title: Grant Writer

Mission: The Missoula Downtown Foundation, Inc. is a public benefit corporation organized exclusively for
Charitable and educational purposes of supporting and promoting activities such as the enhancement of
arts and culture, livability, economy, safety and infrastructure of the greater Downtown Missoula area.

Function: Under the direction of the Missoula Downtown Foundation Board of Directors, this position will be accountable for researching, defining and developing funding sources to support the Missoula Downtown Foundation. The Grant writer will focus on coordinating developments, writing and submission of grant proposals to 3rd party entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of proposals and grant application submissions

Responsible professional work in identifying, developing and responding to public/private grants through research and letters of inquiries

Preparation of proposals and grant applications which meet the Missoula Downtown Foundation’s criteria

Submit monthly reports to the board of directors of the Missoula Downtown Foundation

Ability to coordinate with foundation partner organizations and develop support letters/documentation to reflect existing and future project collaborations

Required Qualifications (knowledge, skills & abilities):

Minimum of 3 years of successful acquisition of grants

Proven track record in successful grant writing

Demonstrate professionalism and ability to interact with people

Proven time management and organizational skills

Excellent written, verbal communication skills

Proficient in interpreting and analyzing diverse data

Works efficiently under deadlines and pressure to produce quality work

Excellent writing and computer skills (MS Office)
