Hiring process for Missoula Economic Partnership president irks some

The way the Missoula Economic Partnership http://www.missoulaworks.org/ hired its president last month has rankled some community members and led one finalist – who ultimately did not get the job – to share the unconventional approach in a letter to her supporters.

"I was notified … last week that the selection committee was recommending me to be the new president and CEO of MEP," said Nicole Hagerman Miller in an email. "In the meantime, 1) the interim director (James Grunke) has offered to be the president and CEO or 2) the board could not come to an agreement so James is their solution. I have heard both, so I am guessing the truth is somewhere in the middle."
