You might not think of motor oil and a muffin having much in common but they do as more and more of our flavorings that are used in food products are actually coming from petroleum.

But a Missoula company is out to change that as Blue Marble Biomaterials http://bluemarblebio.com/ is inventing the future of food and other products, carving out a piece of a $43 billion business.
