Missoula high-schoolers make mark at International DECA conference
With thousands of business students from around the world all hunting attention at the International DECA conference, standing out requires some serious acumen.
That didn’t stop Sentinel High School junior Dac Cederberg from landing top-10 honors in his first year at the competition, held in Salt Lake City April 28-May 1. Senior classmate Gwen Lockman scored in the top 20. Both faced at least 200 competitors in their specific events.
"For someone from a small state like Montana, that’s almost unheard-of," said Sentinel DECA chapter http://sentineldeca.org/ adviser Mark Hartman. "You can count on one hand the people who’ve done that in the last 10 years."
