Montana Career Opportunity – Senior Program Officer, Ranching and Conservation – World Wildlife Fund

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Senior Program Officer for Ranching and Conservation. Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of the WWF Northern Great Plains office with support and guidance from the Director of Livestock, Market Transformation Initiative (MTI), the Senior Program Officer will engage the ranching community in the Northern Great Plains (NGP) priority region, and key stakeholders including donors and partner NGOs in ways that contribute to the achievement of WWF’s mission and leverage WWF conservation strategies. Provide leadership in planning, communicating and implementing projects, programs and initiatives related to increasing the sustainability of the ranching and livestock production industry and achieving WWF NGP’s biodiversity goals. Develop and maintain successful business and policy partnerships to promote greater triple bottom-line sustainability of the ranching community. Manage specific projects to demonstrate Better Management Practices (BMP’s) and create greater collaboration toward achieving increased sustainability.

WWF is committed to conservation of one of the planet’s last intact grasslands, the Northern Great Plains (NGP). By 2020 we are committed to achieving biodiversity goals on public, private and tribal lands at scale. Achieving these goals can only happen with the participation of the ranching community.
