Seeing the impact Tony Preite takes on role to help local Montana economic develoment organizations
The process started when U.S. Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., took President Barack Obama up on his State of the Union pledge to promote American energy. In late January, the senator wrote to Obama urging the establishment of a multi-agency federal office for eastern Montana.
During a visit to Sidney in April, Baucus announced Tony Preite http://matr.net/article-49642.html will serve as coordinator to help oil-impacted areas find possible government assistance.
Preite, former president of the Montana Economic Developers Association and chairman of the Governor’s Economic Development Council, explained his new role during a stop in Sidney Wednesday.
