In 1998, Brian Brown was playing his last year of football at the University of Wyoming and earning some part-time cash at the Laramie First Interstate Bank.
He didn’t have to catch a "Hail Mary" pass to land his first professional job.
Following up on a manager’s praise of Brown, Tom Scott, whose father started the bank, and Ed Garding, its current chief executive, dropped by the Laramie bank and offered Brown a manager-in-training job.
