5. SmartLam, Inc. http://www.smartlam.com/ , a producer of cross laminated timber products, will invest $2M in equipment and create 30+ jobs in the next few years. Co-located in Columbia Falls with majority owner Western Building Center, the company will bring in out-of-state revenue and energize demand for small diameter wood from local mills. Montana West will submit an application for $770,000 in loans through the Columbia Falls and Flathead County Community Development Block Grant loan funds.

4. Montana West launched a sites and facilities search tool with http://www.montanasiteselector.com/northwestmontana. Powerful and current demographic and market research reports from ESRI are also available for the four county area. This GIS tool maps zoning, schools, traffic counts and much more.
