Announcing the CSC National Business Capitalization Guaranteed Loan Program

Want to help someone with a disability start a business in your community?

Want to establish a guaranteed low-interest loan fund that is accessible to people with disabilities, even people with no credit or bad credit?

CSC is seeking donations or investments to its National Business Capitalization Guaranteed Loan Program. Both investments and tax deductible donations are currently being accepted by CSC to underwrite 100% guaranteed low interest, low monthly payment, loans for the start-up and expansion of businesses owned and operated by individuals with disabilities across the United States.

CSC uses Certificates of Deposit to guarantee loans in partnership with local community banks. The CDs represent a 100% pledge to provide the low interest loan to a prospective business owner with a disability. Below are two brief examples, one in rural West Virginia, and one in Iowa, where CSC purchased a CD in each local bank for 100% of the loan amount:

In West Virginia several local investors, Brenda Hellwig, Brian Connaughton, and Russell Sickles, from Job Squad, Inc. (JSI), each invested $1,000 in CSC’s Business Capitalization fund, with the agreement that when the loan to the business owner is paid off their funds will be returned to each of them. CSC then supplemented their investment with $2,000, from your donations, to purchase a $5,000 CD at Calhoun Bank.

* The small bank in WV processed the $5,000 loan with minimal delay or paperwork. The business owner’s credit rating was not a concern due to the 100% CD pledge, plus the bank provided a low interest rate of only 5%, and low $98 monthly payments with total interest of only $687 over 5 years.

In Iowa, CSC used donations to our Business Capitalization program to purchase a $4,000 CD at a local branch of West Bank, based on the prospective business owners’ approved Plan for Achieving Self-Support, from the Social Security Administration. Molly Sullivan of Griffin-Hammis Associates and Suzie Paulson with Iowa’s Work Incentive Planning and Assistance program assisted developing the PASS.

* In IA, as in WV, the local bank used the $4,000 CD purchased by CSC as a pledge for the $4,000 loan, at a very low 2.6% interest over 12 months with less than $90 interest for the entire loan, no credit check required, and very simple loan paperwork and processes.

At any time, CSC can identify dozens of individuals in need of your
