Russell Country rebrands itself Central Montana

This summer the organization charged with promoting northcentral Montana to tourists, Russell Country, will begin a rebranding effort.

Marketing for the 13 counties in this part of the state will be done using the new Central Montana marquee.

The new name is more recognizable to out-of-staters, the primary target audience, said Gayle Fisher, executive director of the local tourism promotion branch, which receives funding from the state’s bed tax that is charged at hotels.
