Economic gardening converts at least two

Economic gardening is opening doors for local entrepreneurs.

"At first, I was skeptical," said Tevan Green, president and CEO of Hampton-based Citadel Logic, a government contractor specializing in cyber security.

He figured that a market analysis and intelligence – what was promised to companies in a pilot economic gardening program – would be nothing more than slapping his company name on a billboard and advertising his brand.

He changed his mind.

"What they did was tremendous," Green said. "I am a believer."
