Growing market: Experts say Missoula has plenty of health care jobs, training

With two thriving hospitals in Missoula, and the city’s unique location in the middle of Montana’s western edge and along the Idaho Panhandle near rural eastern Washington, it’s no wonder the Garden City is turning into the Healing City.

Missoula is home to expert medical care and a growing health care economy. Where are the jobs and what are the emerging trends?

For answers, we turned to Pamela Olsen, manager of education resources at Community Medical Center, and Mary Windecker, vice president of planning and marketing at the hospital.
