Drug company backs out of Casper, Wyoming business center deal
The Casper Area Business Innovation Center under construction on the site of the former Amoco Refinery lost its potential "anchor tenant," a pharmaceutical company, at the last minute in the past week, according to the project’s director.
"There were some weight restrictions that could accommodate the pallets of drugs," DeAnna Adams told the quarterly meeting of the Economic Development Joint Powers Board, composed of representatives from the city of Casper and Natrona County on Tuesday.
The $10.5 million center, connected to the former refinery administration building on King Boulevard, needs an anchor tenant — like a major store in a mall — to attract and help sustain other tenants, Adams said.
