Montana higher ed chief pushes campus cooperation
February 3, 2012 /
Montana’s public universities have to work together to offer students programs that will turn out the engineers, scientists and other professionals needed to fill jobs in growing fields, the state’s new chief higher education official said Thursday.
"The Montana taxpayers feel like we need to be more of a system, not less," Clayton Christian, commissioner of higher education, said during a question session at Montana Tech. "We share resources where we can."
