Pecha Kucha Bozeman inspires creative community

Social media sites and Wikipedia may be useful for finding information online, but the websites lack a certain human touch – or so said more than 300 people who filled the Ellen Theatre on Wednesday for Pecha Kucha night.

Pecha Kucha, Japanese for "chitchat," offers anyone with "a passion or a vision" the chance to share their ideas with the community during a "fast-paced, friendly social hour," organizers wrote in their announcement for the event, Bozeman’s second ever.

Devised by architects in Tokyo in 2003, Pecha Kucha events are held in more than 400 cities, bringing communities together and "inspiring creatives around the world," according to its website.
