Happy Holidays from the Wheeler Center!

Dear Friends of the Wheeler Center,

The holiday season provides us with yet another opportunity to thank you for your interest in the Wheeler Center. By attending conferences, participating as a speaker, providing ideas and public comment on the various topics we undertake, supporting the Center with your dollars and time, and with your general enthusiasm for our mission, you have made Montana a better educated and more connected place. Just to recap:

The "Cost of Water" was on our minds this year. A synopsis of the water conference, held in Glasgow, can be found here: http://www.wheelercenter.org/#presentations_follow_up:11

This summer, we pioneered a unique concept to engage emerging young professional leaders in thinking about public policy in a week-long colloquium, "Envision Montana," for two dozen Montanans under the age of 35. Their story is here: http://www.wheelercenter.org/#presentations_follow_up:11

And finally, we grabbed hold of the facts in the debate over the future of "Medical Marijuana" in our state, and the summary of that gathering will be available in January.

Again, many thanks for all you do for us. We urge you also to support our efforts as you consider your holiday gift giving. As you know, 100% of our funding comes from private giving. We receive no other funding. Donating to the Center is simple, at http://www.wheelercenter.org/#donate and donations of any amount are appreciated and used to engage Montanans in forging our state’s future.

With all best wishes for a terrific holiday,

The Board and Staff of the Burton K. Wheeler Center at MSU

"An informed people is the basis of, and a necessity for, successful democratic government. The people of the United States are entitled to hear all sides to a question…" – Burton K. Wheeler
