Toying around: Christmas is harvest time for Action Farm Toys of Billings, Montana at it ships its toys worldwide

For a century, Donna Deines Pippin’s family farmed along the Yellowstone River valley and Gary Pippin’s kin worked at the sugar beet factory.

Today, the couple farms in miniature, making and selling farm toys.

The success of the three-decade family business shows that not all kids are addicted to video games and have forgotten how to use their imagination.

"The type of toys we sell goes from baby to grandpa. They are nonsexist, nonviolent toys, and we really push that," Donna said.
