Missoula Economic Partnership chief leaving after dispute over ‘vision – "Chief’s exit is surmountable setback"’

The Missoula Economic Partnership http://www.bestplaceproject.com/ will hold its first annual meeting on Wednesday night without president and Chief Executive Officer Jim Bowman.

The partnership announced Bowman’s departure Tuesday, citing differences in philosophy and economic development visions as reasons for the split. A mutual separation agreement was reached Tuesday afternoon between the partnership and Bowman – who was hired in June – and took effect immediately, said Mayor John Engen.

Bowman’s departure comes because of "differences in visions in the way economic development should be done here," Engen said.
