Hitting the send button on scathing, company-wide e-mail is far from the best way to resign. But going quietly isn’t ideal, either. "It’s not particularly productive (to quit with fanfare), but neither is waiting it out, saying nothing at all and keeping that dissatisfaction to yourself," says psychologist David Ballard, head of the American Psychological Association’s healthy workplace program.
