Fundraising nearly complete to establish Bozeman-New York direct flight
November 6, 2011 /
Local companies and organizations have raised almost all the $688,000 needed to cover the local share of a $955,000 federal grant to establish a direct flight from New York City to Bozeman.
The Bozeman area, Yellowstone Club and Big Sky Resort will split the cost. Bozeman will pay approximately $125,000; the Yellowstone Club about $400,000 and Big Sky about $170,000, said Daryl Schliem, president of the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce.
Bozeman is about $25,000 away from completing its goal, he said.
