News from Solomon Bruce Consulting

I moderated a panel at an Economic Development Conference the other day of three successful business owners. One of the questions that I asked was "What made your business successful this year?" Interesting, the answer from all three business owners was either a "client centric" focus or some close derivation thereto.

What is a "client centric" focus? A focus where you put the client first in all of your activities. Each of these businesses was in a different market segment, each being of various size, from $150,000 in annual sales to $25 Million in annual sales. Here is what was interesting, each business owner used exactly the same ideas to gain new clients, irrespective of business size.

As the holidays are rapidly approaching, are you using a client centric focus in attracting and retaining new clients? Is everything you do focused on client needs and how you can help that client need? If not, consider changing your focus. You may see a big difference in new and returning customers.
