Missoula International Airport director named regional executive of year, says more changes in store

Missoula International Airport http://www.flymissoula.com/ has so many projects in the works, Director Cris Jensen has to write them down just to keep track of all that’s going on. From the construction of a new control tower to major runway work to the possibility of bringing intrastate flights back to the airport’s runways, Jensen’s long list of upgrades is just another sign of busy times at the airport, which experienced one of its busiest summers to date this year.

"It looks to be that the busiest month we’ve ever had was July this year. In general it’s been a pretty good year," Jensen said.

While he’s quick to attribute the airport’s successes to the strong teamwork of his staff and board, Jensen’s hard work isn’t escaping notice.

Jensen, who is in his seventh year as the airport’s director, was named Airport Executive of the Year by the Northwest Region of American Association of Airport Executives.
