Supercomputing exec director leaving Montana’s Rocky Mountain Supercomputing Center

Rocky Mountain Supercomputing Center’s http://www.rmscinc.org/ executive director, Earl J. Dodd, is leaving the Butte-based company to "pursue other activity in the high performance computing world," according to an announcement Friday afternoon.

The RMSC Board of Directors named Jim Kambich, president of the Montana Economic Revitalization and Development Institute, or MERDI, as acting contract administrator.

Dodd, a Dillon native, was the first RMSC executive director and has filled the position since 2009. He helped introduce supercomputing hardware, software and services to Montana.
