Boise Software Company Balihoo Looking to Double Headcount

Boise-based software firm Balihoo http://balihoo.com/ is expecting to double its current roster of 50 employees by the end of next year, in an effort to spur further sales and revenue growth. The company expects to add 10 employees by the end of this year and is looking for software developers, account managers, and sales and marketing staff.

"We’re seeing really fantastic growth from a revenue and client standpoint," said Shane Vaughn, Balihoo vice president for marketing. "We’re making the business decision to grow our headcount now so that we can accelerate that growth."

Nearly all the new jobs will be located in Boise, though Vaughn said some of the sales staff could be located in other regions of the country.

Balihoo also recently announced that it was picked by the national glasses and optical chain Pearle Vision to automate their local marketing efforts.

"Balihoo is delighted to help Pearle Vision extend their national marketing to the local level and enhance their support of franchisees and corporate stores," Balihoo CEO Pete Gombert said in a news release http://balihoo.com/announcements/pearle-vision-selects-balihoo-for-local-marketing-automation . "By combining the critical elements of local marketing, Pearle Vision’s local stores will execute sophisticated campaigns and expand their brand awareness in hundreds of markets."

Pearle Vision selected Balihoo to automate their local marketing efforts for franchisee-owned stores. The national chain’s goal is to deliver a consistent brand across the country while allowing local stores to easily update local content.

Balihoo does similar local marketing work for other national brands, including Kohler plumbing fixtures and insurance companies AFLAC and GEICO. Vaughn said getting new clients doesn’t necessitate adding staff, since the company’s software can be repurposed for new businesses, but that the new hires are intended to help land more clients.
