Brothers from Great Falls, Montana demonstrate how video games can help learning. Add A Tudez Entertainment Co.

Some teachers might see a child sitting in front of a video-game system and think that child is wasting valuable brain cells on mindless activity.

But Great Falls video-game designers Josh and Trevor Hughes, believe a kid with a video game controller might be what you’d call … a teaching moment.

"Most of the academics we’re working with were already open to video games as educational tools, but what little skepticism we do encounter is quickly dispelled when they see some of the things kids are doing with games," said Josh Hughes, president of Great Falls-based Add A Tudez Entertainment Co. http://www.addatudez.com/

That’s the link to the free to play LittleBigPlanet2 level pack we did for HASTAC and The MacArthur Foundation that teaches STEM through the use of rides and coasters–people can sign in and queue up the first level there to play when they have time, You can see a YouTube video of our pack at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HpOCF-mPDg

We also have a tech demo to an educational game called Stubborn Thirsty Jim we’re doing for a children’s book with author John Honeycutt.
