Amazon truce with California may reap benefits

Say hello to California’s new best friend.

Amazon.com says it will create 10,000 full-time jobs, 25,000 seasonal ones, and invest $500 million in "a variety of different kinds of facilities" in California over the next few years. This, in addition to coughing up hundreds of millions of dollars in online sales taxes it once swore it would never pay.
