Wind energy summit underway in Big Sky, Montana

Montana’s windy plains could someday be harnessed into jobs and the wind industry’s top minds are in Big Sky to see how Montana might fit in to a growing business.
"This is about bringing the players of the world together in one place to talk about developing the energy resources for the future of Montana," Governor Brian Schweitzer explained Monday.
And that really is what the Wind Energy and Transmission Leadership Summit is all about. A recent study by Harvard suggests Montana is second only to Texas in Wind Energy potential.
