Montana Career Opportunity – Vice President of Finance, Business & Administration – Salish Kootenai College

Salish Kootenai College http://www.skc.edu/ is seeking applications for the position of Vice President of Finance, Business and Administration.

This senior management position serves in an executive capacity reporting to the College President for overall planning, operation, and evaluation of the College’s non-academic programs and services.

The position is responsible for maintaining the fiscal integrity, securities, and physical properties of the College. The position is responsible for long-range strategic financial planning and analysis, operational planning and budget development, sustainability efforts, and effective management of College resources. The position is responsible for providing senior leadership, supervision, and evaluation of all administrative areas as assigned by the President, including but not limited to Finance and Budget, Operations/Facilities, Procurement, Human Resources, Information Technology, Safety and Security, Transportation, Construction Manager, Physical Plant, Chief Financial Officer, Information Technology Services, and Auxiliary Services.

This position provides overall leadership and vision for non-academic affairs within the context of the College’s vision, mission, goals, and strategies. Individual in position will represent the College in various civic, community and professional organizations at the local, state, and national level. Successful candidate will hold Master’s degree or Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in financial management, business management, or a closely related field with five (5) years of experience in a senior level administrative position in a higher educational, industrial, or public setting. Must have strong human relations with the ability to interpret and apply college policies and procedures. Candidate must have the ability to resolve issues, resulting in mutual respect and tolerance for varying points of view. Must also have financial analysis abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, an understanding of an academic environment and demonstrated strength in budget management, and proven leadership ability.
