Maya Angelou urges Bozeman, Montana audience to find rainbows in the darkness

Famed writer Maya Angelou http://mayaangelou.com/ told a large Bozeman audience hosted by the MSU Leadership Institute http://www.montana.edu/leadership/ Tuesday night that she could never have overcome the great obstacles in her life if not for the people who had believed in her and became her "rainbows in the clouds."

Angelou urged the 3,400 Montana State University students and Bozeman community members at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse to remember that they, too, can encourage and inspire others.

"I like to think of myself as a rainbow in the cloud," Angelou said. "And I’m thinking of each of you as a rainbow.
