Flathead Valley Community College Seeks to Raise $1 Million for New Nursing Building – Please Donate Now!

Facility would provide more class, lab space for nursing and health science programs

Flathead Valley Community College http://www.fvcc.edu/ began a campaign http://www.fvcc.edu/foundation/the-fvcc-foundation/new-building-campaign/ last week to raise $1 million for a new $5.75-million nursing building on campus, with the bulk of the cost covered by a $4 million private donation.

FVCC President Jane Karas addressed the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Aug. 30 with the news of the donation, which came from the Broussard family. Rebecca Broussard, well known for starting the equestrian triathlon The Event, was also a nurse.

Broussard passed away last December. Her family said FVCC’s nursing program combines her love of nursing and her high regard for the school.
