6 Components of an A+ Elevator Pitch

An elevator pitch provides a concise summary of your service, business, or product idea that can be delivered in a very short time. The name elevator pitch is based on the premise that sometimes you can only catch an influential or powerful person in an elevator–and your pitch should therefore be deliverable within the time it takes for an elevator to move from one floor to another. Since the typical elevator ride is somewhere in the range of 30 to 60 seconds, you should keep your pitch to 100 to 150 words at most.
