In Montana, the Wind and the Wide Open Spaces

Montana is so enormous it makes a cyclist feel as though he were standing still. I crossed the border from Idaho nine days ago, and I’ve been eating up reasonable chunks of daily mileage this week — except for the day off I took today — but I am only barely across the center line of the state. It’s still about 300 miles to the North Dakota line.
