UM alumnus, J.K. Simmons surprised by his own success in theater, movies and television

This fall, as the University of Montana gathers to celebrate homecoming, it will honor one of the most successful actors ever to graduate a Griz.

J.K. Simmons has appeared in dozens of TV shows and films over the past two decades and humbly refers to the school’s upcoming honor of his accomplishments as "scraping the bottom of the barrel."

Simmons is a blue-collar actor who goes to work, punches the clock and gets home to spend as much time with his family as possible.
