Investigator begins work into Yellowstone County, Montana hacking

A computer forensic examiner from Butte began an investigation Monday into the hacking last week of Yellowstone County’s website, an attack that appears to have involved electronic motor vehicle renewal payments as well as electronic property tax payments.

Meanwhile, the county is working to restore read-only information for some departments.
