Bozeman, Montana allocates $25,000 to help struggling local business incubator – TechRanch

The city of Bozeman plans to give TechRanch http://techranch.org/ $25,000 to help keep it viable.

A nonprofit business incubator, TechRanch has helped create local firms like Bacterin, Foundant Technologies, Bridger Photonics and Ticket Printing.

In the past 10 years, companies that received assistance from TechRanch have created roughly 500 jobs statewide.

But the nonprofit has recently had a hard time getting federal funding – money it has relied solely upon.

Last year, TechRanch representatives reported that if they didn’t get financial help soon, they might have to close.

This year, the city of Bozeman is one of several entities offering a hand.
