Wanted: ‘Angels’ for businesses

New businesses often can’t get financing from banks or other risk-averse sources. Instead, wealthy individuals or groups — known as angel investors — can create financial miracles for entrepreneurs looking to turn their earthly ideas into heavenly profits.

Henieman said the angel tax credit is one step in helping new, technology-oriented businesses grow in the state so that its talented young people don’t have to move elsewhere to find high-quality careers, like those at Hayneedle.
