Rob Ryan Joins Comply365 Board of Directors

Successful entrepreneur lends expertise to growing company

Comply365 http://www.comply365.com is pleased to announce Rob Ryan has joined the Company’s Board of Directors. Mr. Ryan graduated from Cornell University with degrees in physics and mathematics. He then went on to the University of Wisconsin graduating in 1972 with a master’s degree in mathematics. He began his career at Burroughs and continued to advance his career at Digital Equipment Corporation and then at Intel, where he focused on computer networking.

Mr. Ryan was a pioneer and thought-leader early in his career. Ryan founded his first company, Softcom, and subsequently sold it to Hayes Microcomputer, the leader in modems at the time. He also founded Ascend Communications in 1989 with his wife, Terry, and three co-founders. Ascend built the infrastructure equipment used by all internet service providers. He served as chairman and CEO until taking Ascend public in 1994.

After Ascend’s initial public offering and over the next several years, its stock split four times, returning $840 dollars for every initial $1 invested. The company grew to 4500 employees with revenues in excess of $2 billion. Mr. Ryan then founded Entrepreneur America along with his wife, Terry, after selling the company to Lucent for $25 billion. Entrepreneur America is a mentoring organization that helps entrepreneurs reach multi-billion dollar valuations.

Rob has taught at Cornell University and has received the Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2002. He is currently working with a select group of entrepreneurs. Rob’s authored Entrepreneur America published by Harper and is now working on a second book, The Sunflower Way, on how to leverage your strengths in building your business.
