Economic Development Expert, Jim Bowman hired to head Missoula Economic Partnership

A longtime economic development director from Illinois will be the first president of the Missoula Economic Partnership http://www.bestplaceproject.com/ .

Jim Bowman was announced as the head of the public-private partnership Thursday.

MEP was created to help drive the Best Place Project, an economic development program developed by Mayor John Engen in 2010.

Bowman is from Moline, Ill., where he most recently served as executive director of Renew Moline http://www.renewmoline.com/ , a key player in economic development in the Quad Cities area, said a press release from the city of Missoula.
