Study: Idahoans earn less than national average

A new study finds Idaho’s work force earns roughly $11,000 less for per employee compared to the national average.

Agricultural economist Stephen Cooke, who retired from the University of Idaho in December, has concluded that one reason wages are lower in the state is a failure to recruit more high-paying jobs. He also cites a lack of a priority on educating the state’s work force.
