PrintingForLess.com Wins WhatTheyThink Environmental Innovation Award

America’s Print Shop and brochure printing expert at http://www.printingforless.com recognized for environmental sustainability

Today, PrintingForLess.com (PFL), America’s Print Shop and brochure printing expert at http://www.printingforless.com, announced that they won the Third Annual WhatTheyThink Environmental Innovation Award for "Environmental Sustainability and Your Plant," http://bit.ly/whattheythinkaward.

As part of their annual, Earth Day celebration, WhatTheyThink, a leading media organization for the printing and publishing industry, recognizes five printing companies that are, "expending a great deal of time, effort and resources to make real and concrete contributions to improving their environmental sustainability."

The awards are presented in partnership with Unisource Worldwide, Inc. and Unisource’s respect™ Printers’ Program and cosponsored by Heidelberg USA, Neenah Paper and NewPage Corporation, Awards.

"Not only does PrintingForLess generate 100% of its power from a nearby wind farm, but their facility has been custom-designed to reduce energy and water consumption, as well as ensure the health and safety of its workers," states Cary Sherburne WhatTheyThink Senior Editor. "They have dramatically reduced waste, and reinvested the cost savings from waste disposal to higher-cost wind power and other plant improvements. Their property also includes a preserved 25-acre wetland."

"We are honored to win this award and hope that green power goes mainstream, eventually providing our country with the best of all worlds: energy that is clean, cost-effective and made in America," says Andrew Field, PFL President and CEO. "With our wind power, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification for responsible forest management, and our other green activities, we are doing our part to help preserve the environment while providing high-quality marketing materials that our customers can be proud of."
