State auditor: Use competition for state printing jobs to save $5 million-plus yearly

The audit made the following recommendations:
Allow private printers and the Department to compete for all jobs;
Reduce the number of print shops to cut costs and duplication; and
Adopt statewide cost-containment strategies.
The State Auditor estimates these changes could result in savings of $5 million – $13.6 million a year.
