Catholic theology integral to Loyola students' education in Missoula, Montana

April 5, 2011View for printing

"Catholic school, as vicious as Roman rule.

"I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black.

"I held my tongue as they told me, 'Son,

"fear is the heart of love,' so I never went back."

- Death Cab For Cutie, "I Will Follow You Into the Dark"

Maybe the musicians in pop band Death Cab For Cutie should have gone to Loyola Sacred Heart High School .

The only nun you'll find here is Sister Rita Mudd, and as a picture on the wall, she's not capable of bruising knuckles or enforcing any rigid code of conduct.

Not that she would have anyway when she was alive.
