MSU students learn by helping architect

Students came to Billings earlier this year to document Billings’ unique features by photographing the Rimrocks, Yellowstone River, downtown buildings, trains, oil refineries and rural areas near the city.

Romito and Curtis Pattee, who graduated from Billings West High in 2007, are part of that group.

Romito, who moved to Billings when he was 16, learned more about the history of Billings and the importance of the railroad to the city while working on the MSU project.

The program made Pattee appreciate downtown historical buildings, including the renovated Babcock Building that the students toured.
