Montana Tech pumps $73M into state economy

Montana Tech pumps $73 million annually into the state’s economy through the jobs, research dollars and visitors it generates, according to a report released Thursday.

The report conducted by the University of Montana’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research found that the state gains $4.56 for every $1 in public money it spends, said Royce Engstrom, UM president. He said the return is a solid investment for Montanans, and the money comes into the state in numerous ways.
