Flyback Energy Announces Energy Saving Commercial Lighting Solution

Breakthrough Technology Allows for the Capture and Recovery of Magnetic Energy Losses and Saves Significant Energy Costs

FlyBack Energy®, http://www.flybackenergy.com/ the market leader in magnetic energy recovery, announced today at the GlobalShop retail solutions event, the 3rd quarter availability of its L8000 Lighting Energy Controller for the commercial and industrial lighting market. The L8000 is a patented power management solution that uniquely allows for the capture and recovery of magnetic energy losses and saves significant energy costs. It eliminates electrical energy losses in inductive circuits and power conversion processes, and delivers the ability to dynamically dim HID light arrays. Cumulatively, savings can amount to 50% of lighting energy costs.

FlyBack Energy founders cracked the pervasive and seemingly unsolvable electric industry problem of energy loss in inductive circuits and power conversion due to electromagnetic collapse in inductive devices and processes. The L8000 is the first in a series of planned applications of the company’s patented magnetic energy recovery (MER) technology breakthrough, but it is the first to be commercially released because of the expensive energy currently being wasted in the commercial and industrial lighting market. With its ease of installation in new construction and lighting retrofits, companies striving for energy efficiency can easily achieve energy savings and the associated bottom line savings.

"We’ve solved a persistent and seemingly unsolvable industry problem," said John Overby, President and CEO of FlyBack Energy. "The 5% or more of energy loss caused by electromagnetic collapse was such a thorny problem, and so intractable, it was simply accepted as inevitable. It took us ten years of non-stop research – and some unprecedented engineering creativity – to solve a 125-year-old problem."

FlyBack’s L8000 Lighting Energy Controller will help organizations cut their lighting energy-related costs by:

– Saving approximately 5% of the energy lost in all electricity-powered systems through Reverse Electro-Motive Force (REMF)

– Eliminating heat-caused ballast damage so fixtures last longer and maintenance costs are reduced

– Saving 50% or more on net light energy costs by allowing dimming of all or portions of the lighting systems.

The Company started with the L8000 Lighting Energy Controller because the light solution delivers results to many business segments quickly. But other applications based on FlyBack’s patented MER technology will result in lower energy costs, cooler operating temperatures, and longer useful life for transformers, motors and controllers as well.

"We’ll be rolling additional applications out through the remainder of 2011," continued Overby. "The impact of magnetic energy recovery technology is truly significant, with positive cost energy savings ramifications across many segments."

About FlyBack Energy Inc

Spokane, Washington-based FlyBack Energy http://www.flybackenergy.com/ has developed a patented, microprocessor controlled switching advance that drives down operating expenses for energy and maintenance, and capital costs for equipment. The L8000 Lighting Energy Controller solution is the first released application of the Magnetic Energy Recovery (MER) technology, but other applications will quickly follow.

The L8000 solution is modular, scales easily, mitigates energy use issues such as harmonics, EMI, excessive heat and others, and answers the energy conservation and optimization needs of organizations across business segments.
