The draft environmental impact statement for Montana Snowbowl’s http://www.montanasnowbowl.com/ major expansion project – it would nearly double the acres of ski terrain – was released for public comment Tuesday afternoon.

Snowbowl plans to expand onto 1,088 acres to the west of the existing resort on TV Mountain, all within the boundaries of the Lolo National Forest.

The new terrain would serve intermediate and beginner skiers.

The project would include installation of four new ski lifts and construction of a new lodge. The number of ski runs would increase from 52 to 80.
