BREDD Request for Qualifications: Forest Business Technical Assistance

Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to provide Technical Assistance to regional Forest Businesses:

The BitterRoot Economic Development District (BREDD, Inc) is offering interested individuals or organizations an opportunity to submit a proposal to BREDD to provide Technical Assistance to regional Forest Businesses. The entire Request for Qualifications can be accessed at http://www.bredd.org.

Summarized Scope of Work:

*Assistance with financial and marketing plans to sawmills, loggers and other forest-related businesses in BREDD?s service area (including Mineral, Missoula and Ravalli Counties).

*Maintenance of a centralized, accessible source of technical and marketing information for forest products and businesses.

*Development of biomass energy businesses at Montana sawmills.

*Coordination and communication with public and private sector to optimize forest products sector diversification in the state.

Additional Information:

*Up to a total of $220,000 is available for this project, made available to BREDD through the Community Trade Adjustment Assistance (CTAA) Program Economic Development Administration (EDA), U.S. Department of Commerce.

*Proposals are due no later than 4:00 p.m. MST on March 24, 2011.
