Educator Al Yee’s new book explains importance of early childhood teaching, development

The early years of life plant the seeds of a monster or a Mae West.

When Missoula author and educator Albert Yee went fishing for biographical material for his new book, he chose among his many figures Adolph Hitler and the iconic 20th century vaudevillian.

The contrast of the two – genocidal psychopath and carefree entertainer – serves to hammer home Yee’s point about early childhood development in his book, "Raising and Teaching Children for Their Tomorrows."

"You can see why in their childhood they turned out that way as adults," said the 40-year educator, psychologist, author and former dean of the University of Montana School of Education.
